Account and Data Deletion
LegalDesk users may request deletion of their LegalDesk account and the personal data associated with that account. This page is the public account-deletion request route for the LegalDesk Android application.
How to request deletion
Email the LegalDesk support team from the email address registered on your LegalDesk account. Use the subject line Account Deletion Request.

Please include:
- Your registered LegalDesk account email address.
- Your full name or attorney/profile name, where available.
- A clear statement such as: “Please delete my LegalDesk account and associated data.”
For security, we may ask you to verify ownership of the account before completing the request. Do not send passwords, Google Play passwords, card details, or highly sensitive client documents by email.
What deletion covers
After we verify a valid request, we will delete or anonymize eligible data associated with the LegalDesk account, subject to the limited retention described below. Eligible data may include:
- Account and attorney/profile information;
- Client, petition/case, hearing, note, and notification records created under the account;
- Uploaded documents and files associated with the account, where technically available for deletion;
- Device notification tokens and account-linked application records.
Limited retention
We may retain the minimum information necessary where required or permitted by applicable law, to prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security, maintain legally required accounting or transaction records, or maintain short-lived disaster-recovery backups. Retained information will not be used for normal account access after deletion.
Subscriptions and Google Play
If you purchased a subscription through Google Play, cancel it separately in your Google Play account subscription settings to avoid future charges. Google Play manages payment, cancellation, and refund handling for Google Play purchases.
Timing and confirmation
We aim to acknowledge verified requests promptly and complete deletion or provide an outcome within the period required by applicable law. Some requests may require additional verification or a limited extension where allowed by law.

Important: Account deletion may permanently remove access to LegalDesk records and uploaded documents. Please export or save anything you need before requesting deletion.
