3A. Data Roles and Lawful Bases
For account registration, subscription administration, support, security, and operation of the LegalDesk service, LogicalFrame generally determines the purposes and means of processing and acts as the controller or business, as applicable. For client, case, hearing, note, and document content entered by a legal professional or organization, that user or organization generally determines why the information is entered and remains responsible for its lawful use, confidentiality, and professional obligations.
Where the UK GDPR applies, we process personal data only where a lawful basis applies. Depending on the activity, this may include performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in operating and securing LegalDesk, protection against fraud or misuse, or consent where consent is required. Where special-category or highly sensitive information is entered by a user, the user is responsible for ensuring that an appropriate legal basis or condition applies to their use of LegalDesk.
4. Legal and Professional Responsibility
LegalDesk is a software tool for legal workflow and case management. LegalDesk does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or attorney-client services.
Users are responsible for:
- Ensuring that information entered into LegalDesk is accurate and lawful
- Protecting client confidentiality
- Following professional, ethical, and legal obligations applicable in their jurisdiction
- Obtaining any required client consent before uploading or storing client-related documents or data
5. How We Store and Protect Information
LegalDesk uses secure backend infrastructure to store user data, including database and private file storage.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:
- Authentication-based access control
- Row-level security policies where applicable
- Private storage buckets for uploaded files
- Attorney-specific file path isolation
- Temporary signed URLs for private file access
- HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit
- Access controls for admin functions
- Notification and audit-related records for important system events
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. However, we take reasonable measures to protect user information from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
7. Google Play Billing
For Android users, LegalDesk may offer subscriptions through Google Play Billing.
Google Play processes payment information according to Google’s own policies. LegalDesk may receive subscription-related information such as product ID, purchase token, transaction status, and subscription validity to activate or manage Pro features.
LegalDesk does not receive your full credit card number or full payment account details from Google Play.

LegalDesk may send notifications for:
- Hearing reminders
- Payment approval or rejection updates
- Subscription or plan expiry reminders

Users may control notification permissions through their device settings. If notifications are disabled, some reminders or alerts may not appear as push notifications, but may still appear in the in-app notification history where available.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide LegalDesk services
- Maintain user accounts
- Support legal workflow records
- Comply with legal, security, tax, accounting, or operational requirements
- Resolve disputes or enforce agreements
Users may request deletion of their account or data as described below. Some information may be retained only where required or permitted by applicable law, for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, backup, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
10. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request account deletion or data deletion by contacting us at:
Open the LegalDesk Account and Data Deletion page
Account Deletion Email: info@logicalframe.com
Please include:
- Your registered email address
- Your full name
- A clear request for account deletion or data deletion
After receiving and verifying a valid request, we will delete or anonymize eligible account-linked data, subject only to limited retention required or permitted for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, accounting, or compliance purposes. Deleting a LegalDesk account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription; Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled in Google Play.
11. User Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have rights to restrict or object to certain processing, request portability where applicable, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To make a request, email info@logicalframe.com from your registered account email, describe the request, and provide enough information for us to verify your identity. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit a request where permitted by law, for example to protect another person’s rights, preserve legal obligations, or prevent fraud.
12. Regional Privacy Information
United Kingdom
Where the UK GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, subject to applicable conditions and exemptions. You may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your personal data has been handled unlawfully. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve your concern.
United States
United States privacy rights vary by state and by the circumstances of processing. Where an applicable state privacy law provides a right to know, access, correct, delete, or appeal a privacy-request decision, you may submit the request using the contact details in this Policy. LegalDesk does not sell personal information and does not use legal-client content for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your country of residence, including through cloud, authentication, storage, notification, and payment service providers. Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps intended to protect personal data transferred internationally, such as using contractual commitments or other recognised transfer safeguards.
15. Third-Party Links and Services
LegalDesk may contain links or integrations with third-party services, such as Google Play, Firebase, Supabase, or external document viewers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. Users should review the privacy policies of those services separately.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of LegalDesk after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
